Now the central government introduced a new website (Parivahan) to Book a fancy number. Before it was through Kerala MVD (Motor Vehicle Department). Now it’s all centralized and computerized by the central government.

Book a Fancy Number in Kerala
Steps:
1. First Register / Login on to the Central Government Official Website.
The website’s name is Parivahan. The link is given below
https://vahan.parivahan.gov.in/
Give your basic details for Signup. If you have an account already, please sign in.
2. After a successful signup / Sign in,
Login to the Parivahan website. https://vahan.parivahan.gov.in/fancy/faces/public/login.xhtml
3. Then, Go to the top menu “Online Services”.
4. Find the submenu “Fancy Number Booking”.
5. Check your Number is available through your Kerala RTO.
Example: Our RTO office is “Vandiperiyar”.
There will show a list of available Numbers.
6. Now you can Participate in Bidding.
Choose the Number and Pay the Corresponding basic amount or rate decided by the transport authorities.
The basic rate is RS 3000/-
If no other bidding, you will get the number easily. if more than one booking on the same number, you have to participate in bidding on corresponding RTO offices in Kerala.

Old Way through KMVD (Kerala MVD- now it is not working),

- As usual highest Bid on the Fancy number will be called out as the Winner.
