The Kerala Govt decided to avoid taking any chance of spread of the COVID 19 virus and had decided not to open the beverage outlets, but instead launch an app to control the queue.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to use BevQ App?<\/strong><br \/>\nBevQ was developed by a Kochi Based startup Faircode Technologies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Does BevQ provide home delivery of liquor?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe answer is No, The minister of excise during the second phase of lockdown had mentioned that they were looking for alternate ways of selling alcohol, like home delivery, people have a misguidance that the ready to BevQ app will have home delivery of alcohol, Once you book it Online. This is not true as the app is only aimed at being a virtual queue system and doesn&#8217;t facilitate home delivery of liquor. It is just like the token system or ticket system seen in banks, hospitals..etc, but a virtual one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Will I be able to Buy liquor without using the app?<\/strong><br \/>\nNO. As per reports, the Beverages outlets are expected to open from Friday and the outlets will not be selling any liquor to people outside of the Virtual queue system provided by the BevQ app. Only users of the BevQ app will be allowed to buy alcohol and that too in the order of the virtual queue., it is clearly mentioned that all social distancing norms have to be strictly maintained by the outlets during the sale.<\/p>\n<p>BevQ is in its final stage and will be launched in the next days.
