The new Mahindra Thar is powered by two all-new engine options, a 2.0-litre mStallion petrol engine and a new avatar of Mahindra\u2019s all-time favourite 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine. The new 2 liters mStallion 150 tdti gasoline engine pushes out 150 bhp of power and a staggering 320 nm of torque and for the die-hard diesel fans, they have 1.5l mHawk engine producing 130 bhp power and 320 nm of torque. For the first time, Thar comes with a six-speed manual transmission and also has a first time 6 speed torque convertor fully automatic transmission for the new-age buyers. With the latest suspension setup, all-new Thar has great off-roading promise and superior on-road ride and handling give the best of both worlds. This variant of Thar has a water wading ability of 650mm. Apart from the off-road capabilities, Thar has improved their face as a daily commuter vehicle.
