YOUR CONNECTION IP ADDRESS
Observed by this website ·
This is the address seen by the server, which may belong to a VPN, proxy or shared network. Only the IP version used for this request is shown. Location and VPN status are not inferred.
Validate an IP address
Check IPv4 or IPv6 syntax without contacting the address. This does not test reachability or ownership.

Public IP vs. local IP
Your public IP identifies your Internet-facing connection. Your local IP helps devices communicate within your own network. This tool cannot show your Wi-Fi password, router login, MAC address or every device on your network.
IP address questions, answered
What is my public IP address?
Your public IP address is the network address websites see when you connect. The result above shows the address observed by this server for your current request. A VPN, proxy or shared network can affect the result.
What is the difference between IPv4 and IPv6?
IPv4 uses 32-bit addresses, usually written as four numbers separated by dots. IPv6 uses 128-bit addresses written with hexadecimal digits and colons. This page shows the version used for this connection; it does not test whether both versions are available.
Is my public IP the same as my private IP?
Usually not. A private IP identifies a device within a local network. A public IP is used on the Internet and may be shared by several devices. Check your device network settings for its local IP and router address.
Can an IP address reveal my exact location?
An IP location lookup may estimate a country, region or city. It does not reliably reveal a street address or GPS position. Mobile networks, VPNs and provider routing can make the estimate differ from your actual location.
Does this tool detect my VPN or proxy?
No. It shows the address observed for this connection. You can compare the result before and after enabling a VPN, but a changed address alone does not prove that all traffic is protected or that there are no DNS or WebRTC leaks.
Why does my IP address change?
Your Internet provider may assign addresses dynamically. Switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data, reconnecting, or changing a VPN server can also change the address websites see.
Does this tool store my IP address?
The tool does not maintain an IP history or send the result to an external lookup API. Normal website hosting logs, analytics and advertising services may still process connection information; see the site privacy policy.
