Buying a used iPhone-things you need to check before

Generally, we can say Apple is a trusted company in the Mobile Phone Industry. So Company wises no risk of buying a used iPhone. But all depends on the user and usage. If he/she used the iPhone without care, the broken chance is very high. So I suggest buying a used iPhone from a known person. Because it will reduce 50% risk.

Anyway, better to do the following checkings before buying a second-hand iPhone.

1. First, check all basic iPhone functionalities before buying a used iPhone.

2. Display
3. Sound
4. Motion
5. Connectivity
6. Hardware
7. Camera

We can do the testing or checking in two ways. 1. Manual and the second one through a trusted app. The manual procedure is a little difficult and time taking. For that, you have to go through each functionality and perform the check. The person required some technical knowledge to perform the test.

2. Secondly, Check the iPhone is Refurbished, Replaced, personalized
For that Go to Settings-> General-> about->Model

iPhone Model Numbers should be starting from any of the following English Letter. Each letter represents the device model type.

M- Brand New Device

F- Refurbished

N – Replacement

P – Personalized

3. Check the Battery Life – Lithium Ion Battery is using in iPhones.

Settings->Battery->Battery Health->Maximum Capacity
Health status(0-100%) varies depends on the age of the phone. If the phone is 2yrs old and battery status is above 85% then it is good to buy.

iPhone Battery ageing completely based number of charging Cycles. Normally one battery life is 500 charging Cycles.  If the health is below 80% company recommend replacing the battery.

5. Next point is, body replacement Check

1. Cross Check the serial number printed on the back of phone body and settings serial number
2. Also, cross-check the SIM tray Serial Number

6. Next one is Warranty Check

Go to the Apple website and check the time of the warranty. We have to type the serial number to check the warranty.
